Tips on how to care for your leather
LOVE YOUR LEATHER!
As a natural product, each leather hide varies in appearance slightly, making every piece unique. We only use best quality English leather, which is renowned for its strength, durability and beautiful appearance. With use, the leather will become even softer and more supple, enhancing its attractiveness and feel.

Regularly cleaning with saddle soap will help it last even longer, rewarding your efforts with years of service. We highly recommend Carr & Day & Martin's Belvoir Tack Conditioner Soap. If you are feeling particularly virtuous, finish by rubbing on a leather balsam, such as Lincoln Superior Balsam.

If the leather is allowed to get wet, this can strip the fats out of the leather, and make it stiff. Never place on or near a radiator, but allow to dry at room temperature. Leather that has become stiff can easily be brought back by sponging with warm water, and then cleaning with saddle soap.

For water loving dogs (ours can't resist a puddle let alone a lake!), you may want to apply a leather oil on their collar, which will help condition, protect and waterproof the leather, preventing cracking. We use Carr & Day & Martin's Leather Oil.
